The Bankstown Sports Men’s Social Golf Club provides the members of Bankstown Sports Club with the opportunity to play golf recreationally and socially (with a hint of competition). The social golf club has a long history having operated for almost as long as the Bankstown Sports Club itself. Any member of Bankstown Sports is welcome to join the social golf club.
Games are played on Sundays each fortnight and on Thursdays once a month. The Sunday games are played at some of the better courses locally and at some more distant courses. With the support of Bankstown Sports Club grants, the cost of green fees is kept as low as possible. The variety of courses and events is shown on the “Calendar” page of this web site.
Thursday games are played monthly. This part of the social golf club is known as The Old Mates. The games are played at some of the cheaper and easier courses locally. The Thursday games tend to be favoured by the senior players, though players of all ages are welcome to attend. For those who have time during the week this is the ideal opportunity to get out and have a swing with a very friendly group of hackers.
